The rising demand in onshore markets for large, productive wind turbines for low to moderate wind speeds has initiated the development of the V100. This wind turbine is based on the V90-3.0 MW but equipped with a larger rotor, making it ideal for sites with modest wind conditions.

The V100 will be available in two versions: The V100-2.75 MW for IEC 2 and the V100-3.0 MW for IEC 3 and DIBt 2. V100 wind turbines will be available from late 2005.
